SONG WRITING

The art of songwriting has to do with putting together words that inform stuns rhyme and make sense.Putting words together looks easy till you pick up a pen to write. The words dont just come but are a reflection of the writer's mind.Words are everything that you think about and channelling the thoughts could be a challenge. You need to know how to arrange the lyrics.

A clear head can give heardstarts hence its essential to go around with a writing tool.Think of a title then begin to form words that relate to it."its the lies you told that changed everything" fits with the title "broken".Suspense and intrigue makes a song stunning. Not giving it away keeps the audience wanting to know more. However the intro must be meaningful. The song should have a body which is the full content of it.It should be talked about all through the song and can be 2 or 3 verses. Also there is the chorus which must be catchy, easy to sing and compact.

Let your music speak they say.Dont force anything cos sometimes it comes in tit bits.A hit  can be written in minutes and sometimes could take days. You need to know your strength. This means what you flow with in writing.Usually i write about love and sometimes the 'mood' and inspiration makes me write on other things.

Lastly is writer's block.Am that type of writer that can try new things.I can write on topics that is not in my comfort zone. But sometimes nothing comes and even when i do research i tend to write what i see online. This can be very frustrating. So what i do is let go by watching tv and learning new things.Writer's block is not forever. It will come and go unless there is a problem.Play around with words in your mind because your thoughts define what you write and how pleasing it will be.
